CGPA to GPA — FAQs
How do I convert Indian CGPA to US GPA?+
A common quick method is GPA (4.0) = (CGPA ÷ 10) × 4, and percentage = CGPA × 9.5. This tool uses that indicative method. Note that WES and individual universities apply their own grade-by-grade conversion, so treat the result as an estimate.
Is a 4.0 GPA the same as 10 CGPA?+
Roughly — a 10.0 CGPA maps to about a 4.0 GPA. But the mapping isn’t perfectly linear at every university, and some use band tables. We help you present your grades correctly for each university.
Do US universities need an official WES evaluation?+
Many do for admission or credit transfer. U2CAN guides you on whether WES/ECE is needed and how to submit it — talk to a counsellor for free.
